 Concert Series Communications Manager

Church of the Ascension is looking for an energetic student to help us grow our in-house community concert series.

Conditions of Employment

This position is funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs program. Consequently, applicants must a) be legally entitled to work in Canada; b) have been a full-time student during the 2016-17 school year; c) intend to return to school full-time for the 2017-18 academic year; and d) be between the ages of 18 and 30. This is a full-time contract position of 35 hours/week for 12 weeks, between May 15 and August 26, paying $11.40/hr.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing skills in French and English
  • Proficiency in social media, graphic design, and production of printed materials
  • Working knowledge of range of design and communications tools like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, MailChimp
  • Well-organized and proficient at planning, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong technical skills and comfort with learning new computer programs and applications
